Talking about wrong words...

Re: Would you have bubbles sung at your funeral?
I'll have it on the strict stipulation that anyone that songs the wrong words gets thrown in the furnace with me.

Let's hope the funeral ceremony doesn't take place at a home game as that'll see three quarters of the crowd burnt alive

Probably, had it played at my Wedding by the Dean of music at Royal Holloway chapel, on a very LARGE ORGAN.

Re: Would you have bubbles sung at your funeral?
Been to far too many family funerals where it's been played

Re: Would you have bubbles sung at your funeral?
We chose it for when my brother was being cremated - the 70s version one. Was a good send off as he was a massive West Ham fan.

One nice touch was from the funeral director. He saw that my brother was a West Ham fan then, as a Barnet fan himself, pointed out to our oldest brother that the lining of the coffin was navy and white (Spurs) and that he'd be happy to change it to all white instead. Very good of him - think his name was Andrew and it was in one of the Brentwood funeral homes.

No, I want 'One night in Bangkok' played at my gig.

Re: Would you have bubbles sung at your funeral?
'Time to say goodbye' did me at my dads funeral. Still can't hear it without a tear.

Would like the crossed hammers on the tomb stone though.

Re: Would you have bubbles sung at your funeral?
Nope.

I've ordered `Bring Me Sunshine` as sung by Morecambe and Wise, with everyone instructed to leave the church doing the hands behind the head skip thing that they used to leave the stage doing at the end of their shows.

All those able to I suppose...

No.

Not that I have thought of another preference yet, but it won't be "I'm forever blowing bubbles"

And of course I would.

Re: Would you have bubbles sung at your funeral?
I have sung Bubbles at many funerals, too many times, but that's life. Fist time was at my Uncle's, he took me to my first ever game and it's my Uncle who I have to thank for me being a lifelong Hammer. Sobbed my heart out as we sang it and since that day singing Bubbles still brings a tear to my eye, no matter what the context.

RIP Uncle Ron, miss you everyday x

My uncle had the 1920's version.
Yes I cried

Had bubbles at my dad’s and it was the only song that made me cry.

Re: Would you have bubbles sung at your funeral?
I have left instructions to have it played. That was the easy bit. Dithering over the burial or cremation bit though.

Re: Would you have bubbles sung at your funeral?
I've already had my funeral and yes, Bubbles was played at it
